Lab Grown Diamonds

Welcome to the wonderful world of laboratory-grown diamonds. Crafted with unparalleled precision and a passion for sustainability, this luxury diamond alternative is a sparkling blend of nature's beauty and human ingenuity.

What is a Lab Grown Diamond?

Lab-grown diamonds are an extraordinary blend of science and luxury, offering the same dazzling beauty and timeless elegance as natural diamonds, with an innovative, modern twist. These remarkable gems are created in state-of-the-art laboratories that replicate the natural diamond-growing process, resulting in stones that are chemically, physically, and optically identical to their mined counterparts.

Are Lab Grown Diamonds Real Diamonds?

Yes, they are graded as 100% real and authentic diamonds. Using advanced technological methods, scientists replicate the natural diamond growth process in a controlled environment. The resulting laboratory-grown diamonds are chemically identical to their natural counterparts, composed of carbon atoms arranged in the crystal lattice structure characteristic of diamonds. Although not mined from the Earth, these diamonds are genuine and indistinguishable from natural diamonds to the naked eye and even under gemological testing.

Sustainable Elegance

Our laboratory-grown diamonds are created using advanced and sustainable scientific methods that minimise environmental impact while ensuring uncompromised beauty. Although growing diamonds in a laboratory requires energy, it’s a considerably more energy-efficient process compared to the extraction and processing of natural diamonds. Advances in technology have made lab-grown diamond production more energy-efficient over time. Additionally, lab-grown diamonds can be easily tracked and traced through the supply chain, offering greater transparency for consumers who prioritise ethical and environmental considerations.

Ethical Responsibility

The diamond industry has worked tirelessly to eradicate conflict diamonds through adherence to the Kimberley Process and other UN initiatives. Despite these efforts, natural diamond mining can still sometimes be marred by past issues surrounding blood diamonds. Produced in controlled laboratory environments, laboratory-grown diamonds are not associated with regions previously known for conflict diamonds, and their production can be traced back to the point of origin.

Impeccable Craftsmanship

Each laboratory-grown diamond is cut and polished with the same precision and care as naturally mined diamonds, resulting in a meticulously crafted diamond that will scintillate and sparkle for a lifetime.

Exceptional Value

Our laboratory-grown diamonds offer an exceptional value proposition, allowing you to indulge in luxury without compromising on quality. Laboratory-grown diamonds tend to be less expensive primarily because their production process is controlled and efficient, allowing for more predictable output and reduced mining costs. In contrast, natural diamonds require significant mining efforts, which can be costly and more environmentally impactful.

Where Nature, Science, and Luxury Converge

Step into a world where luxury harmoniously coexists with sustainability. Our laboratory-grown diamonds embody the timeless elegance and allure of traditional jewellery while embracing the innovative possibilities of the modern era.

How Are They Made?

Lab-grown diamonds are formed using two advanced techniques:

High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT)

Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)

These methods mimic the intense heat and pressure found deep within the Earth’s crust, where diamonds are naturally formed over billions of years. In just a few weeks, these processes produce a diamond crystal with the same brilliance, fire, and sparkle.

High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT)

In this process, a small seed diamond is placed in a press and subjected to high pressure and high temperature, allowing carbon atoms to bond and grow on the diamond seed. The result is a larger diamond with the same crystal structure and chemical composition as natural diamonds. HPHT diamonds are produced using machines that mimic the conditions deep within the Earth where natural diamonds form.

Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)

In the CVD process, a hydrocarbon gas (like methane) is introduced into a chamber along with hydrogen. The gas is then ionised, breaking down molecular bonds and allowing carbon atoms to separate. These carbon atoms settle and form diamond crystals on a substrate or seed plate, eventually growing into larger diamonds. CVD diamonds have gained popularity in recent years due to advancements in technology and production efficiency, with some undergoing further HPHT treatments to enhance quality.

Both methods produce exquisite diamonds, so we don’t recommend one over the other. All our diamonds are meticulously inspected for quality, ensuring that we only sell the very best diamonds on the market, guaranteeing exceptional sparkle in every piece we create.
